Company History

As a Child of  Deaf Adults, Mari Moss-Reeder has always been passionate about being entwined within the Deaf community. Raised in Southern California, she relocated to Southern Utah in 1992.  She has been interpreting since 1982 and holds the NIC Advanced(National) and Utah Professional Certification. 

Mari was involved with coordinating/scheduling interpreters at Southern Utah Center of the Deaf (SUCD) up until they were forced to close their doors, after only a few years, due to a lack of funding. Members of the deaf community and the interpreters were afraid they would lose all of their hard fought gains after SUCD closed. It was important to all of them that they continued to move forward. Mari recognized the need to continue providing interpreting services to the Deaf community and established Interpreter Connection in 2002.

The Deaf community of Southern Utah has nearly doubled since the time Mari first arrived. With the help of the community interpreters, the agency has grown and now provides interpreting services to a very large geographic area.
